Crystal Gardens is a property in Ruby Hill neighborhood and a great example of what can be done on a suburban lot:

On May 14, 2011 we dug swale on contour from the North east corner of the lot to the middle of the south garden area.  We then sheet mulched the south east quadrant using wood chips as the carbon source.
