Organic Landscape Design

Harvest Mountain is a project of the SustainUs Corporation, a 501C3 Non-profit, Barbara Moore, President, in conjunction with the landowners - Trish and Mike Tilley - who operate a doggy day care - All About Paws - and live on the property.

The Front of the property offers a beautiful space about 100' X 70' that we will discuss further below.

This property is on old creek bed and is filled with sandy soil and river rock.  It just off the Clear Creek open space and is blessed with irrigation water rights from Clear Creek.  This back portion of the property is being laid out in ten by ten plots to be assigned to individual gardeners.  Each of the gardeners is using their own gardening techiques including several using our no weed, no water, no till, deep mulch, drip irrigated gardening system.  The garden is experimenting with a gravity drip system by pumping the irrigation water into a tank and allowing gravity to distribute the water.

We did the following conceptual layout for the front of the property incorporating the seven permaculture layers into the design.  The landowners have agreed to invest in the trees and Sustain US is attempting to locate the funds for materials and the volunteers to build out this front section.  We have agreed to train and supervise the volunteers during the build out if and when the pieces come together for this great project.
