Organic Landscape Design

This is the garden we were building at Mt. Loretto Apartments. It consists of five terraces four feet deep by 150 feet long for a total potential planting area of 3000 square feet.  We intended to use the same sheet mulching techniques as in the other gardens but no pathways were necessary.

Unfortunately, we were unable to attract sufficient interest to build out this project and subsequently the owner has withdrawn the offer of the terraces because they believe there is a potential liability if someone fell off a terrace. (See the 30' of mulching we did on the lowest terrance)

This project does illustrates the potential for the processes we are developing.  We have gardens on a lot owned by a church, by a hospital corporation, and at a community garden on city property.  This would have been at an apartment complex.  Clearly, there is a lot of open space that is potential garden . . .
